We haven't offered the Short Sales and Foreclosure Resource(SFR) certification course very often, and boy, is it timely now. Why? Sure, most real estate markets in North Carolina are thriving, and there are very few short sales. But now is a great time to learn and prepare for the future. There are a limited number of experienced REALTORS® who have the skills to effectively brokerage distressed properties. By earning your  SFR certification, you uncover additional opportunities to help buyers and sellers navigate short sales and foreclosure in the future.

  • How events like the 2008 housing crisis and the COVID-19 pandemic have impacted distressed buyers
  • The listing agents role in assisting distressed borrowers/sellers in navigating short sales
  • The steps involved in taking a short sale listing
  • The buyers agent role with short sale and REO transactions
  • Short sales from contract to closing
  • Topics and trends in short sales and foreclosures, and adapting your business to respond to these trends
